Leica C-Lux 2 camera seems to be the talk of the town nowadays. This one is actually an enhanced successor to the good old C-Lux 1 camera which existed some time back.

The C-Lux 1 camera incorporated the usual 6-megapixel, but this latest one redefines it to adorn 7.2 mega pixels of digital marvel. The 2.5-inch screen is the only thing it may have got from the earlier version. This ultra high resolution camera as well adorns an infinitesimal shutter delay, VARIO-ELMARIT lenses speak highly for this compact but yet handy gadget and the 3.6x zoom withdraws in just a fraction of a second into the camera body. Has a good form factor too, stylish finish on the panel.

Olympus has launched a new camera dubbed SP-550UZ which has all the qualities of becoming a champion of all other cameras available in the market.

The camera sports an 18X zoom that means it can shoot from afar.

This new camera though has no competition but will still compete with other cameras offered by Fujifilm, and Panasonic that offer a 10X zoom.

The only drawback of this product is the $499 price tag.

If you happen to go out with a group of friends and you want a photograph taken then one in the group has to click the photograph or else you have to assign the duty to a stranger.
Well, well, well, not if you possess a Quik Pod. One in the group just has to hold this delightful little pocket-sized, extendible tripod, with camera placed at the end, adjust the self-timer, press the shutter release button, adjust the tripod rod length and just wait.

An invention of Wayne Fromm, President of Fromm Works, Inc., who brought out this small wonder after having tested over 100 prototypes, the Quik Pod is compatible with point and shoot cameras, camcorders, lightweight DSLR, waterproof cameras and for remote lighting. You can take photographs underwater, over crowds and even hard to see places like under your car.

Priced at around $30.00 and weighing close to 3.5 ounces, the Quik Pod can be extended from 7.5 inches to 18.5 inches and is made up of hard polycarbonate and aluminum. It also has a built-in adjustable mirror that will help you frame each shot. A Quik Pod Pro+ comes with a lightweight tripod leg adapter. You can order the Quik Pod online at http://www.quikpod.com

According to Wayne Fromm:

Families on vacation and You Tubers will all benefit by making picture taking and movie making easier. Professionals are using the Quik Pod for photo and lighting solutions.

Neil Cohen, a buyer, had this to say:

I see a lot of products and this one stands out as a winner. It solves an everyday problem for photographers.
