Pixel count is the main feature highlighted by the camera vendors and consumer electronics retailers. We all believe that more megapixels means better quality picture but that’s not true. The megapixels don’t matter anymore as each photographer has unique set of pixel counts that best suits his photographs. For instance, an outdoor photograph may be at its best at just 4 megapixels and an indoor photograph may be good at 6 only. Therefore, conclusion is that more number of pixels may reduce the picture quality. Only 5% people can differentiate in photograph quality based on number of pixels and the remaining may rate all the photographs as of same quality.
