Samsung To Bring VGA To Digital LCD’s
Every contender in the world of digital camera seems to be emphasizing on the anti-blur technology. Now, Samsung has introduced, for the very first time, 3-inch LCD with a VGA resolution of 640 x 480, which would fit in any digital cameras. The LCD will let you determine the blurriness of the photos. Digital camera makers use an interface known as ITU-R601, an international standard for cathode ray tube TVs that operate at 30Hz. This standard is incompatible with LCDs, which normally run at 60Hz. Manufacturers have had to reconcile the difference either by compressing the images or by manipulating the signal. However, such approaches will only work with LCDs having a resolution of qVGA (320 x 240 pixels) or less. Samsung’s new LCD operates on 30Hz, allowing VGA images to be obtained from a digital camera without having to create another interface. These LCD screens are expected to be launched in the Q1 of 2007.

Kodak has extended its famed EasyShare series by introducing EASYSHARE V705 Dual Lens Digital Camera and EASYSHARE C875 Zoom Digital Camera. Both the innovatively designed cameras enable the enthusiasts to shoot high-definitions images. The Kodak EasyShare V705, world’s smallest ultra-wide-angle optical zoom digital camera, features 7-megapixel sensors, anti-blur technology and KODAK PERFECT TOUCH Technology. In addition, it boasts VGA video recording at 30 fps with sound. The Kodak EasyShare C875 comes with SCHNEIDER-KREUZNACH optical zoom lens features automatic selection of best scenic mode and produces eye-catching images. It features a wide 2.5-inch color display for wider viewing angle. The Kodak EasyShare V705 is likely to come in the month of September while the Kodak EasyShare C875 is expected to hit the stores by the end of August.
BenQ C1000 10.1MP Camera Boasts PASM Mode
While the new BenQ DC C1000 doesn’t boast any Image Stabilization mode or Anti Blur technology, it comes with a whooping 10.1-megapixel CCD sensor, 2.4-inch TFT LCD display, 3x optical zoom and the PASM (Program AE/Aperture Priority/Shutter Priority/Manual) mode to manually adjust the aperture and the shutter speed. The BenQ DC C1000 features an 8 second shutter speed night scene mode to shoot the crisp quality pictures. The quick 4 continuous shot mode allows the users to shoot the moving pictures. It offers VGA movie recording at 30fps and supports direct printing to a PictBridge printer. The new BenQ DC C1000 will go for sale by the end of September.
Ex-Z1050 & Z75: Updated EXILIM series digicams from Casio
Casio has given its EXILIM range of digicams a mild makeover with the introduction of EX-Z1050 and EX-Z75. The Z1050 is a 10-megapixel camera with ISO compatibility of up to 3200. The other features include a 2.6-inch LCD and anti shake technology. The camera has a Li-ion battery with USB 2.0 port for easy sharing of photos. It can also record video at 30fps in VGA mode. The Z75 is a 7.2-megapixel digicams with a same 2.6-inch LCD screen, 3x optical zoom and USB 2.0. It has a best shot feature that takes into account the available light and surroundings to take the most appropriate shot. The Z1050 has been priced at $394 while the Z75 is priced at $303.
