The leaders in Digicam industry are popping out camcorders like babies, one after another. This time, Panasonic has rolled out the new VDR-D400, DVD camcorder that features larger 20x optical zoom for the very first time. Thanks to the in-built anti-blur technology, you would get superior quality images with this 3CCD DVD camcorder. You can even store the videos on SD memory cards that are compatible with DVD-RAM/-R/-RW. Offering an USB 2.0 connection, the camcorder boasts DVD MovieAlbum SE 4.2 and DVDfunStudio 2.4. Still, I am thinking about its 20x optical zoom. It’s really tempting. Isn’t it? Well guys, no words on the pricing of the high-definition VDR-D400 and it can be seen in the Japanese market from 1st September, 2006.

Rollei, the company whose main aim is to make photography accessible to number of amateurs, has popped out yet another camera, dt6 Tribute. I don’t understand why Rollei keeps on introducing the same kind of digital cameras again and again and all with the same specifications or even lesser than the earlier released one e.g. dx63 Tribute. The new Rollei dt6 Tribute features 6.36-megapixel CCD with 38x zoom, 2.5-inch TFT color display, 32MB internal memory and USB 2.0 support. The features that enthrall me a bit are its built-in flash to the automatic white balance and USB interface. Anyways you can make dt6 Tribute yours by paying a price of €279.

Lenovo seems to be trying its hands on webcams now as it has introduced a USB WebCam (model name: 40Y8519) that boasts nothing so special if we look forward to compare it to the other webcams present in the market. The key specs are a normal 1.3-megapixel sensor, spring clip attachment method to hold the cam in the place, two beam-forming microphones with noise reduction, and the USB 2.0 connectivity. The Minox spy camera like design is the only factor that differentiates it a bit from other models. You can have the Lenovo USB webcam for mere $79.95. I will suggest Lenovo to think of its ThinkPads rather than the webcams.

Don’t you think that the large camcorders are good but it is very hard to carry them without feeling the pain until and unless you are a gym person? Moreover it happens many times that you wanted to shoot something and you wished for a thing that you can carry easily in your pocket and which also is a video recorder? This new RCA EZ105 is really a wonderful device for you, at $129 it lets you shoot 60 minutes of normal video and 30 minutes of high quality video. You can then easily transfer it to your PC via USB port or with the AV out port watch the movie on your TV. The camera has a 1.5-inch of LCD screen and runs on two AA size batteries. Don’t accept that HD quality that you can get from a camcorder but still the video output is good. What I like is the mobility and portability it gives to the user. Via: Gearlog
