Pentax Goes Water-Proof With The New Optio W20

June 22, 2012 Posted by admin

We have a horde of waterproof cameras around us such as Fujifilm Quicksnap Marine, sexy wrist mounted camera, Sanyo Xacti HD1, Olympus Stylus 720 SW etc. Now, Pentax has joined the squad with their latest Optio W20 that is designed for underwater photography. Well, the thing that appeals to me is its form factor since it is packed in a sleek and dreary body design. It can survive easily upto a depth of 5 feet for 30 minutes incessantly. The another alluring feature is its new Blur Reduction High ISO mode and upgraded 7-megapixel camera to shoot crisp pictures. While Pentax has done proper justification with the Optio W20, I think, it should have been made shockproof too. Anyways, the Optio W20 will be out for sale in September 2006 with a price tag of around $300.

Sanyo’s new Xacti S70 doesn’t offer anything unexpected

April 6, 2012 Posted by admin

Sanyo has now a new compact digital camera in its wardrobe. The new Xacti S70 is the successor to the older S60. There is nothing so special about the new shoot digicam except the 7-megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom lens, 2.5-inch LCD, 250 images battery life, and high-quality VGA video recording. Nothing impresses me so much as its sexy silver casing. No words on pricing or availability. Via: LetsGoDigital
