The TC- 242N is a 5.0 Megapixel digital camera cum binoculars and it is claimed that you will be able to read a license plate 300 yards away. A cool gadget for the geeks who love to record what they see through binoculars. Good for site seeing and safari where you would not like first to peer into binocular and then juggle for camera to shoot the animals. Its USB compatibility means that you can easily download data to your PC and share. You will also find a USB 1.1 integrated with this device but it is beyond my knowledge why USB 2.0 was not integrated. The camera/ binocular features a SD card slot and a 8x non digital zoom. It has a 1.5-inch TFT LCD screen which gives two resolution modes of 1600 x 1200 and 640 x 480. When plugged to your PC it is compatible to Windows 98/98SE/2000/ME/XP.
