The official announcement for the HDR-FX7 (aka the VX2100 HD) has been made by Sony. The FX7 has been introduced as a replacement to the earlier model, FX1. Sony claims the new FX7 to be 40% more proficient than FX7. The camcorder features a 1080i on MiniDV tape with a 3 Clear Bit CMOS sensor and 20x optical zoom. Other key specs are HDMI, FireWire, D3 and D1 for connectors. For now, we need to sit back a while as the HDR-FX7 is going to make its debut on November 11 in Japan.
