After a close scrutiny at Camcorder Info, Sony’s HDR-SR1 has emerged the most forward-facing camcorder of the year, not a mean achievement.
Equipped with a mic input, a headphone jack, and the multifunction ring for 4 independent manual controls, the SR1 records to a 30GB hard disk drive (HDD) that supports an incredible 4 hours of HD video, also compresses video in AVCHD, a new high definition format that lets customers to do without tape.
The SR1 features the identical CMOS sensor used in Sony’s HDR-UX1, means same old noise problem but presenting sharper images SR1 is far better than the UX1.
