Finally Sony has decided to enter the CompactFlash memory card market with the first product slated for spring release.
These high speed compact flashes will be available for DSLR’s and will have storage capacity of up to 4GB starting from 1GB. These flash cards will have data transfer speeds of 66x and 133x.
The 4GB CF card is nothing out of the ordinary as already the SDHC cards are reaching the capacities of 8GB.
The Sony’s Europe network media Division representative Renaud Isnard said,
“High end digital camera enthusiasts, from consumers to professional photographers, have a huge and growing demand for storage capacity.”
These cards will be tagged with the Sony’s new range of Digicam α100 model
