Promising to bring the absolute best picture quality to their lineup, Sony recently released their three latest AVCHD-capable digital camcorders. The HDR-CX7 ($1200 MSRP) is their first to record solely to a removable flash media, Memory Stick PRO Duo. Also rolled out at the same time were the HDR-SR5 and HDR-SR7, two latest hard disk drive high definition models. All latest models make use of the new AVCHD codec, which is touted to be an execution of H.264 encoding for hard disk and memory card capable Camcorders.

All the three brand new models are featured with 2.7-inch screens, Sony’s ClearVid CMOS sensor which boasts of providing better feature and clearness plus Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T optics for the unsurpassed color saturation. Handycam HDR-CX7, which is the first one in the lineup, claims to be the world’s tiniest and lightest AVCHD high-definition camcorder. Taken as a whole with battery it weighs just 15 ounces. The users can record almost 3 hours of packed HD 1080 video while built in with one of their 8GB Memory Sticks. The CX7 is sported with a 3.0MP senor with the retail for nearly $1,200.

Next in the lineup is the HDR-SR7 AVCHD, which claims to be consisted with the similar 3.0MP sensor as the CX7. Though not as tiny as the CX7, but users are enabled to record up to 22 hours of complete HD 1080 on the incorporated 60GB hard drive.
