The experts at the DigicamReview got their hands on the chic Samsung’s NV3 digicam that is also the world’s second PMP digital camera. Other than that, the 7.2-megapixel camera plays Xvid MPEG4 videos on its 2.5″ screen and also boasts MP3 playback.
They have called the NV3 an “excellent value” at around £165 ($315) but the camera suffered with “lower than expected detail, lack of color, and over-processed look” seen in test shots. However, its amazing ability to focus on objects just one centimeter away owing to its super macro mode was appreciated. Other satisfying features of the NV3 are 30fps VGA mode, MP3 / XviD playback on the go, 2 hours and 10 minutes of battery life while viewing video and 3 hours, 50 minutes with MP3 play.
In the nutshell, the Samsung NV3 was dubbed as ‘definitely recommended’ if you are on the hunt for a compact camera with MP3 functionality.
