After Fujifilm FinePix S6500fd with face detection technology, now Pentax is planning to add a new 7Mpix digital camera to its Optio S series, Optio S7, in Japan. The Optio S7 boasts the face recognition technology that can identify human faces automatically.
The Optio S7, measuring 85.5mm×19.5mm×53.5mm, integrates an SDHC/SD memory card and weighs 100 grams. It is priced at 30,000 Yen (US $259.25).
