At the Photokina 2006, Olympus will showcase its latest digital cameras along with its latest released world’s smallest and lightest DSLR camera, the E-400 that features a new CCD with 10.0 million pixels and wide 2.5′ LCD. The E-400 is based on the Four Thirds Standard and allows the enthusiasts to carry it anywhere they like to.

The E-400 carries the legacy of the Olympus digital SLRs as it comes integrated with the Supersonic Wave filter that fends off the fear of dust contagion and produces crisp pictures. The E-400 offers 30 scenic modes including the Underwater, Macro, High Key and Low Key.

Its lenses designed on the Four Thirds Standard boasts telecentric construction that takes care of the characteristics and requirements of the camera. The underwater casing is also available for the E-400 that is effective upto 40m. The E-400 will come into market in the month of November.

Other than the E-400, olympus will also reveal the Olympus E-1 digital SLR for the FourThirds system fans at the Photokina 2006.
