Photokina 2006 will be the host for numerous imaging products including the prototype of a new E-System Digital Camera by Olympus that will take over the existing E-1 SLR model in 2007.

The trend started with the introduction of Olympus E-1 camera bosy 3 years back. It has undergone a handful of upgradations including the Dust-Reduction System, full-time Live View and world’s lightest ultra compact body. At present the system boasts 5 camera bodies, 17 ZUIKO DIGITAL lenses and a horde of accessories.

The new E-System dubbed as Chapter II will tend to improve the E-System body, lens, and accessory. Olympus revealed that they will be rolling out a successor to the E-1 flagship next year.
