While Sony is celebrating the 10th anniversary of VAIO notebooks, a prominent leader in the digicam market, Olympus, is also rejoicing 10th anniversary of its digital cameras with the 10-megapixel u 1000 that is wrapped in water-resistant stainless steel body.



The u 1000 boasts 3x optical zoom, 2.5-inch LCD, pre-programmed 20 scenic modes and perfect Fix button to reduce the notorious blur. The u 1000 is expected to reach the stores in October for a price of £330.

The cameras in u series that feature 5x optical zoom are u 740 and u 750. Colored in attention-grabbing Moonlight Silver, Twilight Blue or Sunset Red, the Olympus u 740 is priced at £260 while the Olympus u 750 is colored in Starry Silver or Midnight Black and costs around £300.

If you take a look at the slim 21mm u 730, it boasts whooping 3-inch LCD packed in the sleek make. You can buy the new u 730 in October by paying £270.
