Nikon has stolen all the thunder in the stiff competition between the digital camera manufacturers after the Nikon D200 digital SLR camera was honored with the title of European Camera of the Year 2006-2007. Moreover, European Photo Innovation of the Year 2006-2007 landed into the lap of the Nikon’s photo finishing software Capture NX. The declaration was made by European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA), who recently crowned Nokia N93 the ‘Media Phone of the Year 2006-2007‘.



EISA applauded Nikon D200 for its enthralling 10.2-megapixel CCD image sensor that lets the enthusiasts and professional photographers to get the best out of it and shoot high-quality pictures. The 3D color metering and Image Optimization mode allows the users to get fine results.



The Capture NX imaging software enables photographers to adjust color, hue, brightness and is compatible with any format e.g. JPEG, GIF or NEF.



EISA will officially give away the awards in Berlin, Germany on September 1, 2006.
