Do you remember the Photo De-Blurring Technology that could compensate for the handshake and correct a specific kind of blur? Now, we have the ‘flutter shutter‘ developed by Mitsubishi to deal with the motion blur.

The ‘flutter shutter‘ is merely an attachment for your camera that could capture moving objects at an exposure time of over 50 milliseconds.
The research was carried out with 8-megapixel Canon PowerShot Pro1 although it could be used with any digital camera. The flutter shutter camera and algorithm can handle such extreme blurs that it can retrieve details from moving cars.
The ‘flutter shutter‘ cameras could be of great use for the law enforcement departments.
