Leica Camera has rolled out four new digital cameras that come packed with a handful of features. The new cameras are the D-LUX 3, V-LUX 1, M8 digital and the DigiLux 3.
v-lux_1
The compact D-LUX 3 has an aluminum make and boasts a resolution of 10-megapixels and 2.8-inch LCD for image viewing. It integrates the Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 1:2.8-4.9/28-112 ASPH zoom lens and has a silver or black finish.
m8_digital
The 10-megapixel Leica V-LUX 1 offers high-performance optics and exceptional picture quality. Its DC VARIO-Elmarit 1:2.8-3.7/7.4-88.8 ASPH lens features a focal length of 35 to 420 millimeters. Other key specs of the V-LUX 1 are 2.0-inch TFT display, manual settings, 12x zoom, video recording, raw and JPEG file format recording.

The M8 Digital boasts a resolution of 10.3 megapixels and the film speed of ISO 2500 owing to its low-noise CCD sensor. The M8 Digital is the first camera to use the Leica viewfinder system. The key specs are Secure Digital card slot (4GB), M-TTL flash technology and Jpeg and Raw file formats recording.

Finally, the DigiLux 3 features Leica mirror reflex system camera with interchangeable lenses. The Leica D Vario-Elmarit 2.8-3.5/28-100mm ASPH exchangeable lens offers the Four/Thirds bayonet mount. They key specs are image stabilization, 7.5MP resolution, 2.5-inch LCD and LiveMOS sensor for real time live photo function.

All the four new cameras will be showcased at the Photokina 2006.
