Hitachi has added one more feather in its cap by taking wraps off its new Wooo DZ-GX5300 DVD camcorder. The new handheld comes equipped with a 3.3-megapixel 3CCD and a 2.7-inch swingout LCD to keep a track of action. Compact and lightweight, the Wooo DZ-GX5300 has the capability to record SD video to 8cm (single-layer only) DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, and DVD+RW discs.
Well, it will also lure the enthusiasts who love to snap a picture in between the video recording as it comes with an integrated ‘capture function‘ that grasps one second of time from a clip and stores it disjointedly. It features an estimated run time of roughly 105 minutes.
For the moment, we don’t have any info on the pricing but the Hitachi Wooo DZ-GX5300 DVD camcorder will probably start shipping by the end of January.
