There are lots of cameras in the market hardly a day goes by when there is no new launch. So why not have a snapshot camera shoot-out to test them for picture stabilization.

As reported by Gizmodo the people of the digitalcamerainfo did this for you consumers. There were five cameras with a short zooms of 3.6X being the longest range.

The cameras were The Pentax Optio A10, Nikon Coolpix P3, Panasonic Lumix DMC-FX50, the Sony DSC-T30 and the Canon PowerShot SD700. All of the above cameras are in the price range of $260 to $400 online.

They compared five snapshot cameras with stabilization so that they can outline the uses and limitations of stabilization and compare the various methods currently in use.

The winners of the shoot out were Pentax Optio A10 and Sony DSC-T30.
